AX-15 / Dana 300 Adapter
So you're swapping in a 4.0 & AX-15 combo in your CJ and need a way to adapt your D300 to the transmission. Sure you could cut a little off the input shaft on the D300 and the AX-15 output shaft, Don't forget they're both HARDENED shafts. Or .......
Before Clocking Ring After

Our kit includes:
  • Clocking ring (3/8" thick)
  • Spacer (1/2" thick)
  • Socket head bolts (6)
  • Studs (6)
  • Nylon lock nuts (6)
  • Washers (6)

Frequently Asked Questions:
  1. What are they made of? - Cold rolled steel
  2. What about the transmission shifter? - It comes up right where the T-4/5 shifter did.
  3. What about shifter linkage? - Heat and "adjust" as needed
  4. What about driveshafts? - The AX-15 is a little more than 2 1/8" longer than the T-4/5 so you'll also need new driveshafts.
Additional Notes:
  1. These pictures are of our prototype that I am running on my CJ-8. We have since added a 3rd clocking angle that is halfway between the stock position and the first hole, shown in these pics
  2. You need to use red Loc-tite on the Socket head bolts and the studs.
